Merry Christmas 2011

Milo's 1st Christmas with our family was really nice.
Really laid back.
Really casual.
Really our style.

Love this one!
It's the only one where both kiddos were looking at the camera at the same time. :)

Matt has been fighting what we've determined to be the flu since Friday.
And Xandra got it Saturday.
So, they faked a lot of smiles & tried really hard to be happy & festive...

But those bugs have a way of catching up.

As you can probably tell by the pictures, the 1st round of toy-opening was in the dead of night around 7 in the morning. We tried really hard to hold them off until the sun came up, but that didn't happen. So most of my pictures are really dark. :(

And the 2nd round of toy-opening (with my side of the family) happened when it was dark once again (after an awesome prime rib dinner - thanks for summoning the strength & energy for that Matt!!).

Milo ended up with lots of different cars (almost all of which make noise), GI Joe's, & superheroes. My brothers were so excited to finally go down the "boy" aisles at the store!

My brothers (l-r: Mike, Tommy, & Nick)

Shortly after the last of the gifts were opened, Xandra got cranky once again. Her fever came back with a vengeance & she began whining & crying.

This little guy is the best gift we could have ever gotten! I know it sound cliche & a little cheesy...
but how could you ask for anything more??
(ok, maybe I would have asked for a healthy family for Christmas... but let's not be too picky!!)

Merry Christmas everyone!!
